Controlled burn today at Buck Lake Conservation Area in Brevard County

The St. Johns River Water Management District is conducting a 335-acre prescribed fire today at the Buck Lake Conservation Area in northwestern Brevard County. The burn is located between Buck Lake and Freshwater Lake. The purpose of the burn is to maintain flatwoods and wildlife habitat, and to reduce fuels.
