Last year, the Florida Environmental Network collaborated with Hopping Green & Sams to present attendees with an opportunity to contribute to a charity in the name of Frank Matthews. Thanks to your generosity, we raised in excess of $1,500 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s “Let’s Be Frank” fundraising drive for adult leukemia research, and the fundraising goal for 2018 of $100,000 was ultimately achieved. It also launched a new tradition at the Summer School, where each year’s artwork will be made available for attendees to purchase, and all net proceeds will go to charity.
For 2019, the colorful print is an original by watercolor artist, Doug Mann, entitled Low Tide. In his semi-retirement, Doug has, over the last few years, pursued an interest in watercolor painting. He has been as surprised as his family and friends with the results of his efforts. We thank him for his contribution as we raise funds for the Florida Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
Interested attendees may purchase a print or make a donation, and all net proceeds will go to support the Society’s medical research and other efforts to combat cancer. Orders will be collected through July 19, and all prints will be shipped the following week.
