The St. Johns River Water Management District is conducting two prescribed fires today at the Bayard Conservation Area in Clay County. One fire will burn 88 acres of flatwoods, and the other will burn 86 acres. The purpose of these burns is to reduce hazardous fuels and promote a healthy ecosystem. [Feb. 27, 2015]
