The St. Johns River Water Management District is conducting a 151-acre prescribed fire today at the Lochloosa Wildlife Conservation Area in Alachua County, between Fish Camp Road and Watson Prairie. The purpose of today’s burn is to reduce hazardous fuels and maintain fire-dependent ecosystems. [May 7, 2015]
