St. Johns River Water Management District scientists conducting routine weekly water sampling in the Lower St. Johns River Basin on July 8, 2015, observed an algal bloom in Doctors Lake, in Clay County. Samples were collected by the District and are being sent to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for species identification. [July 9, 2015]
